Okay so I’m giving four stars because I want to give 3 stars for the product, but 6 stars for the customer service. I currently have it installed on the iPad that I’m typing this from, and it looks amazing. It reduces the effect of my fingerprints and apple pencil strokes by about 75-85% which is really nice. It is indeed very hydrophobic and oleophobic like they say in the ads.
However, the problem with specifically the iPad screen protector is trying to apply it. I’ve applied Magic John screen protectors to my phone before, and I figured it would be the same deal. But it’s not. You have to hold it from this tab at the front instead of the sides, and hold it so that it doesn’t move at all while your other arm is actively peeling off a piece of tape, and it’s a lot harder than it sounds or looks. First try, I got a fat air bubble that made the protector practically worthless, and on my second try I accidentally applied too much pressure on the tab and the whole protector got ripped apart by the tape. On my third try I got it almost perfect, but the bubble is tiny and on the outer edge of the bezel anyway. Note that I said “third try.” Now unlike the iPhone cases where they come in packs of two, these come as singles. However, the company really does live up to their satisfaction policy, and they sent me TWO free replacements which I gotta say is LEGENDARY customer service.
(Note: They probably won’t do this twice for you, especially if this is the first time you buy from them, or as time goes on and they scale up as a company. This is just my personal anecdote, so please take it as such)
Anyways yeah, I understand trying to save on cost, but it might not have been the best idea to package your most difficult to apply screen protector as a single unit when everything else is a x2 package, while having them all priced similarly. If you can successfully apply the thing, though, it’s an instant 5 star product. Love your products though 👍
